Skateboarder accused of pigeon killing

Raphael Thomas was arrested yesterday after police received a report that a man had intentionally killed a wild bird in Parliament Street, Exeter.
Officers were called to the city centre street just after 2pm when a member of the public reported that the bird was hit with a skateboard.
Police searched the area and arrested Thomas nearby.
Thomas, from Sidbury, near Sidmouth, was detained at the custody centre where he was interviewed before being charged.
He has been bailed to appear before Central Devon Magistrates' Court on December 1 2009.
