Teenagers and boy die in road crash

TWO teenagers and a nine-year-old boy have been killed in a road crash in Devon.

The single-vehicle accident took place on the A379 near Kingsbridge, Devon.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the crash at Aveton Gifford at 11pm on Saturday.

Fire crews from Kingsbridge, Ivybridge and Modbury also attended the accident, which involved a Vauxhall Corsa. The road was shut for more than nine hours.

The 18-year-old teenage boys and the child all come from the South Hams area, a police spokesman said.

Inquiries have begun into the cause of the accident and police are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 08452 777444.
