Argyle 4 Sheffield Wednesday 0

Plymouth Argyle today extended their unbeaten streak to five games with a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday.

Paul Sturrock’s side took advantage of some woeful Wednesday defending to take the lead when Mark Beevers directed the ball past his own keeper Lee Grant at 15 minutes.

Jamie Mackie doubled the Home Park lead at 25 minutes before setting up Blackburn loan-signing Paul Gallagher for the third five minutes later.

Argyle sent the crowd home happy when Marcel Seip scored in the final minuteof play after Rory Fallon saw his overhead kick well saved.
