Seip poised to extend Blackpool stay

Monday, November 02, 2009, 15:27

ON-loan Plymouth Argyle defender Marcel Seip is set to extend his stay at Coca-Cola Championship side Blackpool by a further two months.

Reports in the North West have stated that the Seasiders are close to reaching an agreement with Argyle, which will see the centre half remain at Bloomfield Road until the New Year.

"It is out of my hands and hopefully my chairman, who is talking to them, will be able to sort it," said Blackpool boss Ian Holloway.

"One of the directors at Plymouth who was dealing with it has had a family bereavement and I do feel for him. But hopefully my chairman will let me know in the next couple of days what the situation is. The player needs to know because he drove off after the Doncaster game not knowing whether or not he is coming back."

Seip has been transfer-listed by the Pilgrims following a changing room fall-out with Argyle boss Paul Sturrock in the aftermath of the club's 3-1 home defeat by Sheffield Wednesday back in late August.
